വൈന്‍ പുളിച്ചു പോകാതിരിക്കാന്‍,1/4^th part റം or brandy യോ ചേറ്ക്കുക.

ഇഡലി തട്ടിലില്‍ ഒട്ടിപിടിക്കാതിരിക്കാന്, ഇഡലി cook യായി കഴിഞ്ഞാല്‍ ഉടനെ അല്പം തണുത്ത വെള്ളം കുടഞ്ഞു 2മിനിറ്റ് കഴിഞ്ഞു......ഇഡലി തട്ടില്‍ നിന്നും എടുക്കുക......

ആട്ട,റവ, മൈദ, കേടാതിരിക്കാനും ഇവയില്‍ പുഴു വരാതിരിക്കാനും.........ഇത് സൂക്ഷിക്കാനുള്ള ട്ടിനില്‍ വയബു കക്ഷണം ഇട്ടാല്‍ മതി.

പാവക്കയുടെ കയ്പ്പു മാറ്റാന്‍, പാവക്ക, അരി കഴുകിയ വെള്ളത്തില്‍ അല്പം സമയം മുക്കി വെച്ച ശേഷം.......പാവക്ക കൊണ്ടു എന്തു ഉണ്ടാക്കിയാലും കയ്യിക്കില്ല.

Green peas, കളറ് പോകാതിരിക്കാന്‍, 3-4 drops, vinegar ഒഴിച്ചു green peas കുക്ക് ചെയ്യാതാല്‍, മതിയാകും.

ഓറ്മ്മയിലെ മഴക്കാലം

Delhi, യിലെ 40-45C ചൂടുകൊണ്ടു മടുത്ത് ഇരിക്കുബോഴാണ്‍, കേരളത്തില്‍ 2-3 ദിവസം നേരത്തെ മഴയെത്തിയെന്ന വാറ്ത്തയറിഞ്ഞത്.സത്യം പറഞ്ഞാല്‍ കേരളത്തില്‍ താമസിക്കുന്നവരോട് അസൂയ തോന്നി.

കേരളത്തില്‍ താമസിക്കുന്ന സമയത്ത് ഞാന്‍ മഴ വരാനായിട്ട് കാത്തിരുന്നിട്ടില്ല.
മഴ പെയ്യുന്നതോടെ സ്കൂള്‍ യാത്ര ബുദ്ധിമുട്ടാകും. പുതിയ school uniform, books.....യെന്നുവെണ്ടേ......ആകെ നമ്മളെ കുളിപ്പിച്ചെടുക്കും. മഴ വന്ന് 1-2 ആഴ്ചയാകുബോഴെക്കും, ജലദോഷം, പനി.......എന്ന അസുഖങ്ങളും വേറെ......അതൊക്കെ school തുറക്കുന്നതിന്‍ മുന്‍പ് ഞാനെടുത്ത resolution താറുമാറാക്കും.(ഈ വറ്ഷമെങ്കിലും അടിച്ചു കലക്കി പഠിക്കണമെന്നുള്ളത്.....പക്ഷെ എന്തുചെയ്യാം, ഈ മഴയൊന്നിനും സമ്മതിക്കില്ല്)

Cereal Box - കൊണ്ട് Magazine Holder യുണ്ടാക്കവുന്നതാണ്‍. പടത്തില്‍ കാണുന്നതുപോലെ വെട്ടി, ഉപയോഗിക്കാവുന്നതാണ്‍.വേണമെങ്കില്‍ box ല്‍ വെളുത്ത പേപ്പറ് ഒട്ടിക്കുക.അതില്‍ കുട്ടികളുടെ handprints or കുട്ടികളുടെ ഏതെങ്കിലും പടം വരക്കായി വിട്ടുകൊടുക്കാം.

Date Rolls

Dates : 1/2 cup (deseeded)

Lemon juice : 1 tbsp

Honey : 1 tbsp

Cashew nut : 1/2 cup

Sugar : 1/2 cup

Coconut : 1/2 cup (grated)

In a food processor, blend all ingredients except the coconut. 

Once the mixture forms a lump, remove and roll into a single log of 1.5 inch diameter. Roll this log in the coconut. 

Wrap is foil and refrigerate for 24 hours. Slice and serve.
